About Exotic Neep

The Exotic Neep began as a passion for animal long before it became a business.

For many years, it was simply the name of my Instagram, a visual scrapbook of my life with animals. A collection of moments, rescues, small victories, and special bonds formed with beings of nature over time.
ooking back, it was always a reflection of who I am at my core.

My name is Lize-Marie, and together with my partner Giumme, we are the main caretakers behind Exotic Neep. Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. From a very young age, I felt a deep responsibility toward them, not only to keep them safe, but to truly understand them.
 

Over the years, I have been involved in extensive rescue work, caring for everything from baby birds and kittens to exotic animals, and especially Sphynx cats. This lifelong hands-on experience has given me a wide and practical knowledge of animal behaviour, care, and wellbeing. But more than knowledge, it has shaped a deep empathy.

 

I am constantly aware of how animals feel, not only whether they are healthy, but whether they are comfortable, calm, and genuinely happy.

The Exotic Neep is, above all else, a space built on love, respect, and devotion to animals.

 

The Parrot Neep

The Parrot Neep was born out of a clear need. Parrots are incredibly complex, intelligent, and emotionally sensitive beings. Small details in their daily routine can make a profound difference to their mood, confidence, and overall wellbeing.

I created The Parrot Neep to be a space where parrots are not only cared for physically, but understood emotionally. A place that recognises that happiness, enrichment, and emotional safety are just as important as food and health.

Doring Kappie Krimpvarkies/Hedgehogs

Doring Kappie is a true love project.

Small animals such as hedgehogs, hamsters, and rodents are often bred carelessly and are not always given the same respect or ethical consideration as pedigree dogs and cats. This has never sat right with me.

I am currently completing my breeder courses through SAHBA, focusing on ethical, humane breeding practices. All hedgehogs bred under Doring Kappie are purebred, with detailed lineage records and health histories, and are raised with care, respect, and intention.

Our online shop came to life naturally. Over the years, Giumme and I have made and tested many items for our own animals. Friends and fellow animal lovers began asking for the same things, items that are practical, safe, enriching, and genuinely useful.

The Exotic Neep shop is a curated collection of products we personally use, love, and trust, nothing more, nothing less.
